Rupert Grint BIO

Rupert Grint (born August 24th, 1988) has become one of the most recognizable young British actors in the world today ever since being cast in one the most highly anticipated films adapted from a best selling novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001.  Playing the role of Ron Weasley alongside Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter and Emma Watson as Hermione Granger, the trio of young wizards conquered the international box-office and were bombarded by worldwide fanfare.  Rupert Grint continued his role as Ron Weasley in the four Harry Potter sequels, Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets (2002), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007).   Rupert Grint has also starred in a few projects outside of the Harry Potter series such as Thunderpants in 2002 and Driving Lessons (2006).  Rupert Grint's most recent projects include the drama Cherrybomb (2009), the sixth installment of the J.K. Rowling franchise Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince (2009) and the comedy Wild Target (2010).  Rupert Grint will also finish the film series with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I (2010) and its conclusion Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II expected in 2011.
