Rachel McAdams BIO

Rachel-McAdams

Rachel McAdams (born October 7th, 1978) is a talented Canadian actress who has quickly risen to the top of today's hottest young stars.  Hollywood could not keep their eyes off Rachel McAdams once she starred as the popular high school teen who wakes up to find that she has turned into a 30-year old man played by Rob Schneider in the 2002 comedy, The Hot Chick.  The year 2004 would become the true breakout year for Rachel McAdams as she would star as Regina George, the leader of a high school clique "The Plastics", in the Lindsey Lohan starrer Mean Girls.  She would also bring tears to audiences worldwide as Allie Calhoun in the box-office surprise hit, The Notebook, based on the best-selling novel by Nicholas Sparks.  Rachel McAdams would then go on to star in a slew of successful films in 2005 such as Wedding Crashers with Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, Red Eye opposite Cillian Murphy, and The Family Stone with an all-star cast including Diane Keaton.  In 2008, Rachel took on roles in a few smaller-scale pictures including Married Life (2008) with Pierce Brosnan and The Lucky Ones (2008) with Tim Robbins.  In 2009, Rachel McAdams played an investigative journalist in the thriller State of Play, fell in love with a time-traveling Eric Bana in the romantic drama The Time Traveler's Wife and played a world-class criminal in Sherlock Holmes.  Rachel McAdams current project, Morning Glory (2010), has her playing an aspiring news producer trying to save a morning show by reigning in her two feuding anchors played by Harrison Ford and Diane Keaton.
